Jaguar’s E-Type Reimagined
Friday, March 9, 2012 at 12:00AM By Christopher A. Sawyer
It was called the Growler Concept back in February of 2011 when designer Robert Palm, CEO of Switzerland’s Classic Factory, announced that he was going to build an homage to the iconic Jaguar E-Type. The timing was right, the E-Type would turn 50 in 2012, and Jaguar’s own XKR could easily provide the mechanical bits necessary for this hand-built, $785,000 (base price) sports car. Unfortunately, the name, taken from the feline image on the Jaguar roundel, is also a British slang term for female genitalia. Hence the Growler quickly became the Lyonheart K.
